The People’s Preservation Fund for Land and Housing

South Bay CLT’s Fundraising Campaign

As public funding for affordable housing declines, we’re leaning even more on our community’s collective strength, especially in a region as resourced as Silicon Valley, to meet this moment.

Join us in making housing as a human right a reality through community ownership.

To celebrate the start of rehab at the 18-unit Virginian Apartments and the ongoing community work done at Reed St, South Bay Community Land Trust is re-launching the People’s Preservation Fund for Land and Housing because we believe people should have the power to shape our own neighborhoods.

With a goal of $575,000, funds will be used towards:

  • Support current property rehabilitation needs

  • Prepare for future property acquisitions

  • Supporting short-term/emergency solutions that prevent homelessness

  • Provide new permanent affordable housing faster and at lower cost than new construction

In 2022, we successfully raised over $500,000 for Reed St and exceeded our goal, we are hopeful that we can achieve the same result this time around but we need your support!
